Mellisa & Tavis

I first met Mellisa when I was at D'Ann's Academy of Dance tap dancing to Billy Ray Cyrus' Achy Breaky Heart, we later reconnected ten years later in high school!

Mellisa has always been such a sweet person and when I found out she was dating Tavis I asked if we could do a couples session together. Over New Years Tavis asked Mellisa to marry him and our couples session turned into an engagement session!

I had so much fun photographing Mellisa and Tavis! It was a gorgeous day in San Francisco- first we went to the Japanese Tea Garden and then we went to Baker Beach. After that we had yummy burgers at a place Tavis used to live above a few years before.

Lauren & Chris

I photographed a wedding at Mills College with Emily in 2010 and it was great to photograph another wedding with her there in 2011! Mills College has a sweet and simple chapel and a gorgeous Alumnae House. Lauren and Chris decorated the venue with photos of their engagement session with Emily and lots of beautiful flowers.

What I loved most about their wedding was that it truly felt like a celebration, everyone was so excited and happy for them. I also loved that Lauren and Chris's guests were not afraid to get down on the dance floor, I do not think it was empty once the whole night!
