March Disneyland Visit

Disneyland is one of my favorite places to photograph. When I was in college I would go there for different assignments, I even went there to photograph my Advanced Black and White final project with my 4x5 camera!

This is my first time photographing Disneyland with my digital camera and I loved it! It was so much easier then lugging around my 4x5, although I did miss the conversations I used to have with people about their favorite old cameras as they watched me work.

I am excited to say that this will probably not be my last post this year from Disneyland as I have purchased an annual pass and intend to go back soon!

Thanks for visiting!

Yosemite

A few weeks ago I went to Yosemite for the first time with the Aperture Academy. I am the Assistant Manager at the Aperture Academy and it was my first time going on one of our two-day workshops.

The workshop was great because it was a full immersion in photography- two days of nothing but manual mode and instructors that entertain as much as they teach. I had so much fun getting to know my Aperture Academy family better and loved seeing Yosemite in a gorgeous blanket of snow.

Here are some of my favorite images from the trip!

Aperture Academy offers a lot of workshops perfect for beginning to advanced photographers. You can learn more about them at http://www.apertureacademy.com/photography-workshops.php.

Penelope & Mikiya

This summer I had the opportunity to assist Emily of Emily Takes Photos at Penelope and Mikiya's wedding. Penelope and Mikiya had the kind of wedding I would love to have. It was at Roaring Camp & Big Trees and they got married in a forest clearing surrounded by friends and family. Their day was fun the whole way through with great dancing and the Bride and Groom serving their own cake so that everyone got a chance to congratulate them.

I loved the cranes surrounding the Hall. There were 1,000 of them, as is tradition, and they came in so many beautiful colors and designs.

The dancing was so much fun- the dance floor was packed all night!

 Congratulations Penelope & Mikiya!
